As the founder of the Academy of Cosmetology Arts, LLC, she pioneered an apprentice-based work-study model that continues to achieve one of the highest graduate retention rates in the country.

Her industry leadership includes service on the Advisory Committee for the Colorado Office of Barber and Cosmetology Licensing, past tenure on the Board of Directors for the Professional Beauty Association, and her current role as President of the Board of Certified Haircolorists. She' is also a respected consultant, educator, and speaker, sharing her expertise with beauty professionals nationwide.

Peggy Sue's journey began in Iowa, where she unexpectedly discovered her passion for beauty while choreographing "Disco Fashion Shows." That spark evolved into a multifaceted career spanning fashion, dance, education, and salon leadership. A recognized trendspotter, she served as Ladies Designer for the National Cosmetology Association's Trend Team, producing national Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter trend releases.

Her commitment to service has been honored by Colorado's First Wife's Task Force on Health for her work training volunteers for the American Cancer Society's Look Good, Feel Better program. She also played a key role in launching Cut It Out, a national initiative supporting domestic violence victims through the beauty community.

Peggy Sue's influence extends deeply into legislation and licensing. She authored legislative language adopted in 22 states, testified before both the House and Senate on issues affecting licensed beauty professionals, and successfully petitioned the U.S. Department of Labor to recognize "Hairstylist" as an apprenticeable occupation-now established in 17 states.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Peggy Sue is a Spiritual Minister and Reiki Master, bringing a holistic, heart-centered approach to her work and mentorship.
